Thinker arrives!

A while back, we told Lisa that we were willing to foster care for a greyhound. Today our wishes came true. This weekend, "Think It Ain't" was put on a truck and driven from Florida to Long Island. Thinker went to the vent, got neutered and got his shots, and now he is in our loving home! Please adopt a great dog!

Thinker's last race was in early July, and now he is living in Manhattan!

We went to Jimmy's house for a BBQ and hung out with Jimmy's miniature schnauzer Bailey, Jimmy's sister's american bulldog Titan, Laura's and Mike's mix Chewie and a dogsitting puppy.

Sleeping garbagemen

This morning on our walk, through the slight drizzles, Hawk and I saw two garbagemen fast asleep in their IESI garbage truck on restaurant row. The engine was running and they were probably snoring. It must be great to get to sleep on the job. I'm sure if I took a photo of them sleeping, I could blackmail some money out of them.

As we walked by her restaurant, Hawk and I noticed a big TV production truck outside. We peeked in the window and saw B filming some TV show. The truck was gone by the time we had our afternoon walk, but by that time B was still inside apparently having a big party.

Memorial day BBQ

We had lots of friends and their dogs over at Rachel's parents hosue for a barbeque. They have a fenced in backyard, so the dogs were allowed to run freely. Hawk made a few appearances, but spent most of the time alone, sleeping on the cool brick floor of the garage. On one of his appearances, he strained his leg again, so I stretched and massaged it until he felt better. Sharone's boxer Kansas didn't like Hawk chasing her, and viciously barked twice at him. Foster ran around like a maniac. Spike cuddled in laps, trying to get some food. Janine and Brett brought Janine's mom's two cute little puppies.

It was a big, dog party... not a big dog, party.
