Weekend walks

Saw some interesting things this weekend. I saw how the NYPD put their horses in their carraiges. I saw the machine that paints the road lines and crosswalks. I can't believe they put a bike lane on Eighth Avenue! We walked past David Blaine's "Drowned Alive" stunt being set up at Lincoln Center.

On Saturday, we went to the dog run at 87th and Riverside Park. He was so exhausted when we got home. He was panting or breathing hard for at least a half hour afterwards. On Sunday, we went to Central Park, met another greyhound named Wes, and then went to the dog run at 81st Street and Central Park West in Theodore Roosevelt Park. Seems like at both of these dog runs, Hawk loves to be in the center of the action. If there are 2 dogs play-fighting, Hawk either referees closely or sometimes jumps in the melee. Rachel doesn't like it when Hawk play-bites other dogs, and she pulls him out of the ruckus.
